Former Chorus Members Return for 75th Anniversary Celebration

Lancaster, PA – April 9, 2013 – The Lancaster Red Rose Chorus, in preparation for the 75th Anniversary of the founding of The Barbershop Harmony Society, invited all former chorus members to join themon stage for their show, Celebrate Harmony, written especially to celebrate this milestone in Barbershop history.

A number of former members attended “Guest Night” to sing some new and old songs for the show. They are invited to attend rehearsal over the next few weeks to get ready for the big event.

Any former chorus member can be part of the show by coming to rehearsals at Covenant United Methodist Church, 110 N Mulberry Street, Lancaster, PA 17603 Tuesdays in April at 7:00 P.M.

The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America, Inc. (SPEBSQSA)—known now as The Barbershop Harmony Society—was officially organized in Tulsa, Oklahoma 75 years ago this year.
