Red_Rose_Chorus_PromoLancaster Red Rose Chorus will share their vocal talents as part of the Saturday Evening Concert Series at Garden Spot Village on Saturday, February 21, at 7:00 p.m.

“We invite me public to join us to hear this award-winning group of singers perform their barbershop harmonies,” said Colleen Musselman, director of life enrichment at Garden Spot Village.

Barbershop harmony is performed without musical accompaniment. The lead sings the melody, and the tenor, bass and baritone voices harmonize to form chords, which results in a distinctive, full sound that sets barbershop apart from other a cappella styles of singing.

Chartered in 1949, the Lancaster Red Rose Chorus is a chapter of the Barber shop Harmony Society.

Other upcoming concerts in the Saturday Evening Concert Series at Garden Spot Village include the Hooley School of Irish Dance on Saturday, March 21 and the Lancaster Bible College Chamber Singers on Sunday, April 18.

All concerts begin at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel at Garden Spot Village, 433 South Kinzer Avenue, New Holland. The concerts are free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted at the door.
